Amoroso Construction bid farewell to four of our most valuable team members in 2021. Combined, the four superintendents had over 100 years of service with Amoroso and more than 150 years of construction industry experience.
We are pleased to announce the substantial completion and occupancy of the new Northern Branch Jail Project in Santa Maria, marked by the ceremonius ribbon cutting on November 18, 2021.
Brian DerMatoian marked 30 years with Amoroso Construction on November 4, 2021. Not one to toot his own horn, Brian does not often speak about his many accomplishments and roles in the company, so we decided to share them!
Amoroso is proud to report that the American Society of Civil Engineers, Metropolitan Los Angeles Branch has awarded our recently-completed Earvin "Magic" Johnson Park Revitalization Phase 1A Project the 2021 "Outstanding Sustainable Engineering Project" of the Year designation. Designed by Paul Murdoch Architects, with landscape by AHBE/MIG, the groundbreaking new Event Center with parking lots, play areas and splash pads, lake improvements and other associated site work was designed to the highest degree of sustainability.
Amoroso Construction is proud to participate in OSHA's 2021 National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction Week, which took place May 3-7. In a year unlike any other, which brought a host of new safety requirements to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus on jobsites, it is important to remember the danger that our construction employees face every day from falls on the jobsite.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Los Angeles Division recently awarded Amoroso Construction the $122M project to build the new Community Living Center on the Department of Veteran's Affairs Long Beach campus.
