An exciting new era for Amoroso! Our Northern and Southern California offices have a new look. Northern California Office: 1875 S. Grant Street Suite 200 San Mateo, CA 94402 Southern California Office: 2600 Michelson Drive Suite 600 Irvine, CA 92612
Amoroso is proud to have helped bring San Francisco’s first ground-up recreation center in over 25 years to life. The Herz Recreation Center serves the Sunnydale and Visitacion Valley communities and features an indoor basketball court, a multipurpose room for community events, an outdoor fitness plaza, and picnic areas. Designed with sustainability in mind, the facility incorporates CLT roof panels and a hybrid system of mass-timber beams and structural steel. Visitors are also welcomed by an interactive public art installation that reinforces the center’s role as a community hub. This project is a powerful example of what collaboration can achieve—and we’re honored to be part of something that will serve the community for generations to come.
The Overwatch | Amoroso Joint Venture team has been awarded the contract by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for the Renovation and Expansion of the Sterile Process Supply (SPS) departement at the Palo Alto VA Hospital Campus.
This project represents an important investment in the healthcare infrastructure that directly supports those who have served our country.

[Redwood Shores, CA] Amoroso Construction and our architectural partner HED (Harley Ellis Devereaux), are thrilled to announce our award for the 5-building, $84 seismic design-build improvement project at UC Davis.
While this project does not include obvious changes to the building, it includes critical life-safety seismic plus fire/life-safety improvements, plus significant deferred building maintenance. The scope of work spans 5 campus buildings - Jungerman Hall, Young Hall, Voorhies Hall, the Sprocket Building, and the Social Science and Humanities Building.
“This is another great win for the Amoroso / HED Team”, says Bob Erskine, Amoroso’s Northern California President. “As a firm that always puts safety first, local life-safety improvement projects are a huge priority for us. We understand the critical impact these projects can have on public safety and our communities.”
This project marks the latest of multiple successful design-build collaborations between the Amoroso and HED Teams. The design team also includes structural engineer Miyamoto International.
Project design kicked off May 2023 and project completion is expected mid-2026.
