The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) has awarded Amoroso a $25.75 million contract to build their Alameda Creek Watershed Center in the next phase of their Sunol Watershed Long Term Improvements.
The project will be handled by our Northern California office and is the second contract won by Amoroso in SFPUC's Sunol Watershed Long Term Improvements. Construction is set to begin in March 2020.
The one-story, 11,000 square foot center is designed to be a LEED Gold facility and include a 2.5-acre native landscape. The facility will include an interpretive display exhibit area, freshwater aquarium, a watershed discovery lab, and historic display alcoves that will include artifacts from the Native Americans that once lived at the site. The grounds will include an informal botanical garden and a picnic area for guests.
