Amoroso Breaks Ground On Crenshaw High School's Performing Arts Center
S.J. Amoroso Construction Co., Inc. and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) welcomed staff and students from Crenshaw High School to the May 16 groundbreaking of the new Performing Arts Center and Football Field project.
During the ceremony, LAUSD officials updated the audience on the progress made so far. Once the new project and upgrades are complete, the district is confident that more students will be drawn to Crenshaw High School for the newfound focus on the arts and music.
In between speeches, Crenshaw's choir performed, which was followed by the groundbreaking and refreshments.
Amoroso is currently renovating the football field and track, upgrading the HVAC and resurfacing floors in existing buildings, adding new outdoor courtyards and constructing a new two-story performing arts center. The project, designed by NAC Architecture, is set to complete Summer 2020.
