Griffith Park Observatory Renovation

Amoroso served as the General Contractor for the restoration of the historic rotunda, first-floor exhibit spaces, and director's office suite. This project also included the complete demolition of the interior and rehabilitation of the planetarium. A 35,070 SF below-grade expansion included additional exhibit space, a new 200-seat theater hall, classroom spaces and public amenities. Amoroso excavated around and beneath the existing building to complete the expansion and new stairwell.
